ROTARY CLUB OF DELHI PLATINUM

The club was founded in 1975 with its first meeting held on Friday, 7 March 1975 at lunch, at Hotel Oberoi Intercontinental, and was sponsored by H.E. Rtn. Sudarshan Agarwal, former Governor of Uttarakhand & Sikkim and the then President of Rotary Club of Delhi.

The founding team, including leading professionals and industrialists of Delhi, were able to enroll 70 Members instantly, as Charter Members of the Club. Today we have 142 members who are committed to the idea of "Service Above Self".

The first meeting of the Club held on Friday, 7 March 1975 was blessed by Swami Ranganathananda of Rama Krishna Mission. The club was granted The Rotary Charter by Rotary International on 18 March 1975.

The Club Today

For 40 years, the club has consistently been one of the leading premier Rotary service clubs in the country. the club, has over the years, undertaken various community service and healthcare projects, for the benefits of the disadvantage underprivileged and deserving beneficiaries.

Rotary's Areas of Focus

Rotarians have continually adapted and improved the ways they respond to needs by taking a broad range of service projects. These service projects fall within one of the following six areas:
